FAIR TRADE FEDERATION: PRINCIPLES & PEERS

Ganesh Himal Trading is proud to be a founding member of the Fair Trade Federation.

“The Fair Trade Federation is a trade association of fair trade enterprises fully committed to equitable and sustainable trading partnerships. We strengthen and support our members in order to grow the global movement of trade that values the health of the planet, and the labor, dignity, and equality of all people.”

Fair Trade Federation (FTF) members are verified to ensure they meet the nine principles set forth by FTF (see diagram above).  Verification is extensive and requires annual renewals.  All of these efforts are in an attempt to alter the current trade systems to provide economic justice for historically marginalized groups, while also ensuring environmental stewardship.  

The FTF nurtures a diverse community of incredible companies that are all working to do business that is equitable and sustainable.  We are proud to be amongst their ranks and encourage you to explore the beautiful handcrafts and food they have to offer.  Below is a brief list of fellow wholesale peers, eager to cross promote in the spirit of collaboration.
